32-37.5 hours outbound call centre work but its in my town centre so easy to get to by bus, working for a ppi claiming company

not glamorous by any means but sales experience, pays bills and wanna be working during my time at uni so in 5 years i got a lot of full time experience

I've only ever done two inbound call centre jobs. One for BT telephone customers and another for EON electricity and gas customers.

You not watch the news, its to do with Payment protection insurance and how banks are as per usual cunts, by charging you for insurance on your payments without telling you, which is illegal and you can claim that money back UK banks have shelled out like 9 billion quid thus far because of it

Congrats Kooj, goes to shown there are jobs out there and you're after the experience rather than the career.

Bit like Dogz I don't like the sound of the PPI stuff. I work for one of the largest banks and they have put money aside to pay for these kind of claims. However it sounds like you're cold calling people on the off chance they might be owed money.

We get loads of letters a day from people making a claim and a lot of people aren't due any money and have been asked by companies to send in a letter anyway and try. Be interested to know if that will become you who is asking!

I live in a house which is split in 3 appartment, on the first floor the tenant there has never been seen, hell it's not even furnished on the second floor the owner there was always at his gf's place. Now he has a tenant, at least this guy looks decent Meanin I can leave my door (my flat is on the top floor) open at all times, when I'm asleep, taking a shower and away. He doesn't look like he would walk accidently (which is quite impossible since he has to take the stairs) or would walk around in my underwear when I'm not around

Turns out this lady had done the same sort of work before. I enjoyed that particular visit. I'm not a fan of how the whole operation works. But since no one ever comes up here, besides me, I use it as an extension of my tiny appartment. I put my laundry there and in the closet there is the groceries I keep in store. So if he wants to walk around in my underwear or steal my groceries, there is nothing that will stop him. I'll not even bother about the door to my flat or any doors to all the flats. Funny you should mention them, I done a one day training process for a job with them. Got offered it but turned it down. The day involved going around with a guy with some experience as we went door to door to businesses to convince them to switch from NIE to Airtricity. I felt embarrassed even watching this guy do his thing. The role according to him would result in earning £40,000 + per year with even higher earnings when "promoted". It was all commision based with no fixed salary.

I turned it down as I didn't want to be one of them cocks. Maybe he does make that much money but judging by the car he was driving us about in...I wasn't convinced. It was a shit car and he dressed like a Matalan/Primark/Dunnes Stores numpty who needed a good wash.

What's funny is that at the beginning of the day there were 15 people. Every person was allocated some mentor for the day who would evaluate them and later interview them.

Out of the 15, they offered one person the job. That person was me. I turned the job down. Well..I turned it down by never turning up for my first day

Apparently there is a lot of money in it, and I can see how if one were able to get over their target. I'm sure it was 30 euro per customer you got to sign over. I was with a guy getting about 8-9 customers a day.

The guy I was with had a nice car. He was 30 years old but looked to be about 20. He was eh.. he had one of those faces you just wanted to throw a brick at, constantly, until the face didn't exist anymore.

If you had taken the job you'd have been taken to "that room" where they talk about the day ahead and cheer each other on. I started with another girl, when we were in "that room" we both just looked at each other in a "wtf is this?" way.
