In all seriousness though, the English riots were just plain stupid. No reason or cause to them, just mindless vandalism and stupidity. The youngsters say they did it because they don't get the chances in life that others do but how on earth does rioting help? It makes you look bad and worse still our country and we could do without it with the Olympics around the corner as well!

Marc their are opportunities they just don't take them and its more than just vandalism its THEFT electrical stores, jewellers and sporting good stores were the main targets typical places chavs would nick from, they talk about wanting respect but there is a contingent of society who think the whole owes them a favour and it doesn't

I come from a poor background went to a shit school and left with essentially nothing there were opportunities to me learn computing, retake my GCSEs at a BTEC national which were a level equivalent and go to uni, my first job was partially funded by the government, all my education i didnt pay for a bean, yes ai have debt but its not bank debt i dont have someone demanding i pay up o they break my thumbs i make payments when I earn good money. I'd like to think I'm dragging myself up from the shit situation I was in and if i lived in fucking china, it would happen fuck it I lived in certain western nations i'd be fucked also, this country does give you chances to better yourself but you have to want and work at them no one is gonna fucking kiss you feet and hand you cash and give you respect when all you do is swarm around in fucking hood doings fuck all waiting for the magic wand.

In short respect is earned, so get a job you cunts

If plastic bullets and water cannons were introduced on the first night of looting, it would have stopped. We celebrated the reunion by streaking around town, I believe this was the actual cause of the riots.

These riots were stupid, pretty much gone around my area now though...Well they never actually hit my town but were all around and police presence is still incredibly high, riot vans around 24/7 etc, 100's of police around at night.

The extent of the riots in my actual city were a couple of chavs setting a couple of bins on fire (look up St. Albans) as we're too posh to riot haha. And by the sounds of things we had more police than london itself!

I Agee and hope they follow through and kick them out of the council houses. In the past we could have done with one (not now mind) and couldn't as the list had about a 2 year waiting list for us, we were pretty desperate at the time.

A) Settle for any job they are given

or
