I didn't get that same feeling when playing it. Skyrim indeed, can still remember him posting videos of him flying about in Oblivion. Then again my way with accents is crappy anyway. But some of these Irish guys are extreme. Though I've had people try talking to me with the Irish language. I'm speaking English, with an English accent, you decide to speak Irish? Makes sense. |

Yeah, I can't remember the figures but a small percentage of Irish people know it well. I believe they teach it in schools here? At first I thought it was the accent being strong, but soon realised it couldn't be English. I've heard radio stations and seen tv channels in just Irish language. I read it a lot in places as well. Don't understand it of course. |

Most secondary schools teach Irish here as standard. Bit of a waste of time to be honest...even if it's a part of Irish culture. Besides the language barrier...crap broadband...and lack of employment, are you enjoying your time in Ireland? |

My thoughts were "Why learn Irish when no one uses it?". If I were going to put effort into learning a new language, my first choices would be French/German. More of an accent barrier, more so the men. Crap broadband indeed. Lack of employment. I enjoy the laidback lifestyle, plenty places to go horse riding. I'm sure the broadband will pick up and my ventures for money will work out somehow. Finding steady work will be a shit though, I reckon the trade offs will even out in the end. Decent internet is the main thing I miss from England. And of course my brown bear. |

Register with some of the recruitment agencies in Ireland and keep a regular look at irishjobs.ie (I think that's the site)
Even just take a low paid job to gain some initial experience (I've no idea what you're qualified in?) Would you be picky about what job you have? Could always consider a supermarket position to bring in some cash whilst you look for something better. |

Finding paying admin jobs is difficult, as I said they do "you gain experience" based jobs which you do for 9 months no pay. I'd applied for those and got sweet fa. Ireland has been more difficult, mostly due to having not thought about it enough. Feel like I've gone 10 years behind what I was in the UK. I know you might not want to hear this but...even if you did complete some course part time, with the amount of University graduates out there..you'll always be lagging behind them when applying for a position.
You would be best to just settle for some standard clerical job requiring no experience and to forget about a course. They are really worth jack all. Some people will argue they are but that's from my experience and from watching people do them. |

That was my opinion on it to start with, it's why I never entertained the idea of a part time course. My option to make a decent amount of money includes side buisness and as you say, a standard paying full time job. I left uni because it wasn't something I enjoyed. Didn't quite challenge me. I'm left with a right challenge now, more than I wanted really. With what I have now I can gert buy, but I need more if I want to buy my own property and land, which I've been planning. |
